Witness Hunter issue smoked out

I have a theory on what happened here. I think the slide stop moved out a little and caught the follower upon travelling backwards on the outside edge. The day this happened, I shot a bunch of high end stuff! Deepening that groove will allow the spring to sit deeper in the stop metal and not move. In looking at the stop the way it comes from the factory the groove doesn't seem real deep and especially for high impulse stuff. I ran all those big rounds today and it didn't budge.

On my new Hunter, I can't push the stop out, without ether taping on it with something
like a hammer or pushing it up against something hard.
Since yours was used when you got yours,  how easy has it been before this too remove it?

It was getting easier each shooting session. I just tried pushing it out and couldn't do it with my fingers. Next cleaning it will have to be tapped out again. I popped the magazine with the tore up follower and it works flawlessly now. I think making that trench a little deeper just helps things, especially as wear starts to occur. The next shooting session I think I will touch up the edge of the hurt follower with sandpaper and give it a go rather than changing to new.

The ladies and EAA generally flat out suck!

I asked for "Black" "K10" followers and this is what showed up >:D

These shouldn't be on my dime to send back. I don't even think the reds will work with my K10's!

Intercooler

Classic EAA. They won't give me a paid label with RMA #. On top of that they charged me $10 for a $5.15 USPS shipper and had the weight on the invoice marked 4 lbs. Yea... Okay!

I seriously need to find another source for all Tanfoglio parts.

You know, I think I read about where those long guides on the red followers, were cut shorter to alleviate some issues of feeding.  They are long, when the magazines are fully loaded, they tend to be distorted at the very bottom and that increased drag as the follower is trying to slide up the inside of the magazine.  That extra drag caused misfed ammo and in some instances it bound up/stuck inside the magazine, with the cartridges loose inside.

Good luck IC  ???

You should have heard the BS lines she gave.

- Our policy not to give a printed label
- We don't have a way to give you a printed label
- We are at the mercy of our supplier on what parts get sent
- The $10 included a tracker
- I checked with service and they said the reds "should" work

If you know anything about any of the above... Hogwash!

I sent it back on my dime. In the future I will go to great lengths and possibly even used to avoid them!

At any rate, it's a $16 loss for nothing. To top it all off I looked at the replacement slide stop and it's a dull finish unlike the Hunter slide stop. Many of the replacement parts aren't as expected it seems.

Keep the red followers and tell them to send you the correct ones.

On their dime.  ;)

Intercooler

I would love to do that, but she told me they have only heard of the black followers... None in stock. That's when she said they only get what the supplier sends. I'm going to look up North to Canada next time I need something.

Paid the Piper... EAA got it right the second time.

Well crap!

These are not replacements for the K10's as can be seen. What to do?????

You can see my damaged K10, which doesn't function correctly in the pistols versus what they sent. If it functions okay it doesn't have the huge pad underneath and may hold 15 instead of 14. Still not right! Let me go grab 15 and see!

Intercooler

Nope! Still 14 which must be based on the follower overall length. The center portion must just be a location, anchor for the spring in the K10.
