That's what I want. I wonder how difficult it would be to convert existing lever action rifles or a Sub-2000 to 10mm.

Also, Hi-Point needs to sell a version of their 995 that accepts Uzi or Sten mags.

Lever gun should be pretty easy.  I would start with a Winchester 1892 in 357 magnum.  I made this choice based on the rim diameter being only .015" larger than 10mm.  Next, get a .40 barrel blank, Numerich and others sell them to be finish chambered in 38-40.  Chamber to 10mm and have lathed to fit the 1892 action.

Feed mechanism might be a little tricky.  I am not a lever gun guy, so I don't know for sure how critical the rim is the feed mechanism.  I am sure it could be worked out.

Sub-2000, being designed around a 9mm/40S&W length cartridge is going to be pretty tricky I would guess.  Some have speculated you could hog out the inside of the magwell to be long enough, but that would also remove material, weakening the overall design.  In addition, being a blow-back designed around the 9mm/40 S&W recoil impulse, there would have to be mass added to the bolt.  Better off looking to a different 10mm design.

I wrote Marlin before the assimilation into the big group about making the Marlin Camp Carbine into the 10mm semi auto rifle.  This one could have been made to use Glock mags.  They had already stopped production on the 9mm and 45ACP models of those...No luck!

I wrote Ruger about the DeerSlayer being made into the 10mm version, again No luck!

I chatted with Tony Rumore of Tromix http://www.tromix.com/ and he actually converted the cal .30 M-1 Carbine to 10mm which was very cool!

It seem the simplest is the MechTech carbine.... ::)

An M1 carbine in 10mm would be pretty badass. So long as we're dreaming, I want a PS90 in 10mm too.

How about a Mac-10 carbine converted to 10mm. They just make a 9,45,and a 5.7, and they used to make a 460 Rowland. So it should take the power of the 10mm.

I'll see that and raise you a Lage converted Max-11 in 10mm.

The lever action style carbine would be very nice for the hunting something like the Marlin lever would be of interest to me, the side eject, tube magazine fed, they have good iron sights and scopes can be mounted. 1894 model pattern or even the 336 pattern.  As a hunting carbine, I would like woodstocks (preferably) or synthetic stock (much warmer in cold weather than metal) smooth surfaces, scope mounting and sling mounts...

Just wanting a close quarters carbine for defensive work...If we could still get the MP-5 10mm, we wouldn't be having this conversation...

The lever gun conversion sounds cool. If you're converting one to 10mm though, might as well go all the way and make it a 10mm Magnum.
Then again, I don't know if any exist, but the 41 Magnum would probably be better suited to a lever gun.

Converting a Sub-2000 is not only a bad idea, but seems a bit like converting a turd to a napkin holder. Besides the cheap plastic construction (I had one in .40), you have to remember the whole platform is sized for 9mm/.40 length cartridges, not the longer 10mm.

I think the best option for a 10mm close-quarters carbine would be a gas operated AR15 pistol, but at that point, you might as well go with 300 Blackout or 5.56.

I believe Marlin did make a 41 levergun, it is hard to find and when you do is priced so.... I would love a 10mm lever gun, I even had an idea of a 45acp lever gun. I do love my 45C lever gun but a 45acp lever gun could pack alot of ammo in that tube (it would be like the load on Sunday and shoot all week gun)  :D Marlin make us a 10mm lever gun please.

No doubt this lady would rather carry one in 10mm!

The .30 carbine is no slouch in its own right, with good ammo, of course.

There is a Guy doing research on the 10mm in a carbine using the Lage upper, grease gun mags. Claims 30+ rounds for converted GG mags and has videos of ammo tests showing over 2000 fps muzzle. (Works out to over 1200 ft/lbs!). Being made for full auto, the thing is way overbuilt. Guy has really done his homework.

Nice. I'd only be interested if I had the money to put a giggle switch on it, though. Otherwise, it would seem to be less accurate than the other 10mm carbines available.

"Otherwise, it would seem to be less accurate than the other 10mm carbines available." What other 10mm carbines are there? I only know of the MP5 & Thompsons, what others are there I would like one that is a little cheaper :)
