Headlight for a G20?

On a serious note.....

I'll have a few guys up on Sunday with headlights on a few Glocks.  Some new and some old.  As important as the light performance, is the mount and retention mechanism.  One was a quick release, I forget the brand.  Solid when installed, 2 fingers and a second to remove (no clumsy thumbscrews or rattles).  I can grab some pics and a review, if you like.

I really like the idea of a quick release setup.  Any pics and further review would be great, along with a brand name to research further.

If you don't train/practice with the strobe, it will have the same effect on the shooter though.

Stuck a rail light on my G20 when it was being fired with stout DT loads.  I can't remember if it was a streamlite TR1 or the Sig equivalent.  After a few rounds it went sailing.  Kind of dinged up the light a little.  I was britty sure I had it on tight but I'm getting old so you never know. 

Havent tried it since.  Check it out before you assume it will stay there.  Them 10's they do kick.

Insight makes some nice LED/laser lights with a quick disconnect. No thumb screws. I like their switch setup better than Surefire as well.

I have the M6X LED/laser combo on my G20SF on my nightstand.

I used to have a TLR-1 but went with a Surefire X300 for my newest HD pistol... Surefire is a bit pricey but they are very reliable and their customer service is good... and the X300 is a bit brighter than the TLR-1 (170 lumens vs 80, I think)

Surefire is just now coming out with the X300 Ultra that does 500 lumens for about the same price as the regular X300.

I also carry a PowerTac E5 handheld flashlight that puts out a whopping 700 lumens... that sucker is a blinder! :-)

I have one of the first Glock lights.  I don't know if it has improved or not. However it is very small.

What I Don't like about it compared to my Streamlight, is the toggle switch is either on or off, whether you use your index/trigger finger or your support hand thumb. 
With my Streamlight, the right side of the toggle is on/off.  The left side is on as long as you hold it down.  When you release, it springs back to "off".   A much better tacticle light.  Easier to do a quick "spot".

Even though I'm not ready to buy at this time, near as I can tell I've finished researching, and arrived at the following conclusions for myself:

1)  The top choice I've decided for myself is -  STREAMLIGHT TLR-2s

Power = Two 3 Volt CR123A  Lithium Batteries

Mounts directly to Glock style rails and incorporates quick detach feature.
Batter door is tethered so you can't lose it.
Windage and Elevation screws are mounted in BRASS bushings for long life and accurate repeatability when dismounting/remounting.

2)  Then I'm keen on the STREAMLIGHT TLR-1s HP, specifically geared toward woods defense and general woods use.

HP stands for high-powered. The TLR-1 HP series produce a long-range targeting beam that reaches 400+ meters!

All in all, they sure are spendy little buggers.  Hope you get what you pay for with them!

Streamlight. Model depends on what you want. My uncle is a distributor for Streamlight and I have/used just about all of them. They all work great. Each one has its own features you may or may not want....

I see this is an old thread, but did you purchase the Streamlight TLR-2s? How do you like it? Does it stay mounted securely under recoil?
