LAPD officers opened fire with live rounds after they allegedly mistook the sound of a colleague's non-lethal 'bean-bag' shotgun for a real gunfire.
More than 20 gunshots and several unanswered phone calls later it all made sense - Bill Beaird just watched police execute his unarmed son live on television.

Family sues LA for more than 20 Million. Hope they win.  Only problem is that the Officers involved are not going to foot the Bill, the taxpayers are.

Sorry, don't agree with the "bully" cop theory...  bad training maybe more correct.

The driver of the dangerous instrument (car) has to take some of the responsibility for the end result.... putting others at risk for the duration of chase.

True, but the threat and his use of the "Dangerous Instrument" ended when he exited the car.

They gunned down an unarmed man plain and simple. 

What do you think these same LEO would do to you if you were in a confrontation with a BG with a gun where you had to draw your carry piece and you convinced him to "drop his weapon" , then you shot him dead?

That's right, they would have your ass in jail in a heart beat and rightfully  so.  No different, cept for the Badge.
