DoubleTap .357 Magnum 180gr and 200gr Hardcast

    Received an early Christmas present today. Both boxes were ordered as 20 rounds but someone goofed and sent me the 50 box of 200's 

It will be interesting to see how far they are off

  We were 1 for 2 today 

DoubleTap 200gr Hardcast (GP100 6") 1316, 1344, 1324, 1299, 1318, 1331, 1299. Average = 1318.71 FPS/ 772 LBS. This one hit the box flap rating 
DoubleTap 180gr Hardcast (GP100 6") 1349, 1370, 1332, 1383. Average = 1358.5 FPS/ 738 LBS. This one is about 70 FPS off the box flap rating. Nothing to sneeze at but 1375 FPS would be a better rating for these.

Also put my usual American Eagle 158gr Soft Point over (GP100 6") 1329, 1322, 1305, 1343, 1305. Average = 1320.8 FPS/ 612 LBS

Yea it looks like he's pushing the 200's not so much with the 180's.  I'll have to test the load with my 180 cast Silhouette bullets.

Re-test of the DT 180gr Hardcast today.

Ruger GP100 6" 1352, 1358, 1397, 1367. Average = 1368.5 FPS/ 749 LBS

Pretty close to last time out.
