IIRC, for what it's worth, there was another study by a CJ bunch, I think the U of Memphis (?) that concluded that race didn't have anything to do with murder/violent crime, but instead poverty was the best indicator.

There is a lot of violence tied to gangs, rival gang turfs and drugs... :(

The CDC study that there is a link to in that article is very interesting. Confirms what most gun owners already believed. But the surprising part is that the study was directed by Obama under his 23 executive orders regarding his gun control agenda (14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence).

Notice how he hasn't really made any noise about the results?  I have been using that very CDC study to great effect with several of my long standing anti-gun friends.

Yes, great ammunition (pun intended) to use when talking to the anti-gun crowd. I'm surprised the CDC was allowed to publish. But, maybe the executive office has no authority to squash it?

I am sure there are many that would have wanted it buried...But someone would have eventually asked, then found out it was buried.

This way they can say they knew of the report, but will probably have some angle they use to discredit it.
