Yes, it happens from every ammo maker!  Sometimes it stacking, transporting and or shipping that cam cause the issues!

Also if you load and unload your weapon, that can cause bullets to either be pushed deeper or slide forward to change the seating depths.

The first thing I do with any new box of ammo is pull the sleeve off and hold it up at eye level to check for any long or short rounds.  As I'm loading the mags, I look at each round individually.

Just last week at the range, the guy next to me found a short round in a new box of Remington 9mm.  It was way short, about 1/8th inch shorter than the rest of the rounds in the box.  Could have been a problem.
