There have been some issues with the recoil spring assembly and the new Gen 4 line of G-20's...
I also suggest letting Glock look and see, they will work with you.  Even if you have to pay its not that expensive for a new frame...$50 - $60.  But I bet they will fix it for free... 8)

I bet Glock will replace it also, and I concur with getting a Gen 3. You can't go wrong with a S&W 3rd gen either, I love them. As far as 1911's, it depends on how deep your pockets are. The Rock Islands are probably the best bang for the buck according to reports from those that have them. I've been running a Para Longslide Hunter for the past month and absolutely enamored with this gun. I've had 1 FTF in 1400 rds. (Nearly all Underwood). The one FTF I blame on myself, limp wristed it when I got a little tired. It comes with a Storm Lake barrel and is very accurate. A true pleasure to shoot.

I had to pick two out of the four for the morning shoot. The Pro and 1006 are loaded up!

I gotta get the stuff for a custom XP sent off to the smith some time soon, and this is another on the list.

With the demise of the G20, which way should I go.

Are you saying the Glock 20 is no longer being made?
I've read that Glock is DCing the G20, but keeping it as the G20SF, which fits MY hand better than the G20.

OMG, I hate you.  ;D   That's a sweet collection! Why would anybody buy anything else? What ticks me off, for real this time, is that EAA jacked the prices way on up, but we already knew they were bargains when we bought 'em. I blame this forum and the Tanfoglio forum for this! Haha.
