Which new 10mm should I get.

With the demise of the G20, which way should I go.  The 10mm is addicting, and I have a couple hundred rounds of ammo to burn up, Underwood, Doubletap, and lesser.

This gun would be largely a range gun, and if some fool stranger decides to enter my home without knocking.  The use as a carry gun would be less of a factor.

Witness elite...take your pick on model.

I am going with the Stock II as a range gun, not a carry piece. At 900 bucks and drop dead beautiful, a self defense matter can be achieved with a run of the mill Glock and others.

What's up with the G20? Elite series here as well.

Are you saying the Glock 20 is no longer being made?

Gen4 KaBoom.  I have a post in the 10mm reloading section detailing the incident.  Its a bit of a disapiontment to me, but it looks to me like out of battery or early release from lockup blew 'er up.

That too. Actually, that more. My son had a Beretta stolen and when recovered it stay'ed in evidence lock down for 3 years. I've been wanting to get another 10mm as well, but the pickings are somewhat limited. Speaking of which, Geeman, that Tanfoglio Elite Limited looks mighty fine...

Looks like EAA is getting a lot of love here.

How's the chamber support?

What mods might be necessary for shooting heavier loads?

I've always liked the 1911 style pistols, and double stact to boot.  Every new suggestion sends me on an internet search.

Thanks for the input.

Here's some pics of my Stock II barrel. Aside from the ramp undercutting just a bit, it appears to be well supported. Some of that has to do with me when polishing that ramp transition to the bore (at the turn). Also shot a few extra pics of the barrel with the nose and chamber walls calipered. Pretty stout. FYI...the slide width is .975 and the dust cover is 1.0.

Now that I have a full size keyboard...

Elite Stock I would be my pick.  It would make a fine range gun, and great bedside gun.  But lacking the full length dust cover of the Stock II and the rail of the Stock III it could be carried, and carried covertly, if the need did ever arise.

I am a fan of fixed sites on handguns, but if that is a detraction for you, swap out that rear site with one of your choice.  Since the slide is already cut for a Novak style site, finding an adjustable replacement is not going to be hard or expensive.

Limited, Stock 2, Pro or a 1006 will serve you well  :o

If you haven't tried already, I would see if Glock will replace the frame or the entire gun. If they replace the entire gun, ask for a Gen 3. I'm much happier with the Gen 3 they replaced my Gen 4 with.

There have been some issues with the recoil spring assembly and the new Gen 4 line of G-20's...
I also suggest letting Glock look and see, they will work with you.  Even if you have to pay its not that expensive for a new frame...$50 - $60.  But I bet they will fix it for free... 8)
