Would YOU put a red scope/lens on a Glock 20 10mm?

Some local ye-ho's at the gun store said they thought the gun would give any RMR TOO MUCH pounding.  I have no experience with these products but am intrigued.  Does anyone have thoughts or experience in this area?  Perhaps it depends upon the product/brand of sight selected?  ::)
