I was thinking about you today when I spoke to Alan at Sprinco. I requested some pictures from him and here is the Compact 10mm Sprinco rod for your newbie. You can change the outer to any single spring you desire for the load but your shots and battering will be greatly improved. He also said Wolff now carries a line of Compact springs but I haven't checked yet. Look at the quality and also look at my other Sprinco thread in this section for the Elite Limited pictures.

Very nice and thank you for looking out. It's on my list for a near term buy. Ill keep you posted on test. Glad to see the Compact become a contender.

I just ordered one for the new Limited I pick up Wed. If it sucks I will let you know but speaking with Alan gave me a good vibe about it.

Eric Grauffel uses his Sprinco.

Checked Wolff site. Only compact springs showing for the EAA Compacts are 9mm and .40.However it's the dual spring issue they are not up to date with. The heavy load single recoil spring in that category works in the 10mm compact.

Alan got back with me tonight about my order. I hope to have it by Friday and will test it out then or Saturday morning. I'm slapping my normal 20lb spring on there for my first try with the new Limited.

I will give you a no BS review on how well it does/doesn't work. If it works really good I will change the Pro over to the Match version rod (both the same style).

It looks like it may be here today with some Armscor and HPR. If it shows I will do an Underwood 1300 video to show it versus the one I did shooting the Pro with just a 20lb spring.

This was about a week ago shooting the Limited Pro with Underwood 180gr@1300 FPS. Flat bottom firing pin block, Henning Cone guide-rod and 20lb Wolff spring. Both videos best viewed in HD.

This is today with me shooting my normal way using Underwood 180gr@1300 FPS in the Elite Limited. It has the Sprinco recoil reducing guide-rod and 20lb Wolff spring with stock firing pin block.

If anything it appears reduced muzzle flip. It would be pronounced with a compact, my guess. I see you rack using front of slide. Rare I see that. How did it feel to you?

It still felt like shooting real 10mm  ;D

The video shows more than I could tell shooting. I didn't have any marks on the frame or beaver-tail with the setup.

As for the rod it is a work of art! I wish he incorporated Henning's cone on the end but he said the whole rod would need a re-do. I typically use the front of the slide to rack when I have adjustable rears. I hate disturbing them!
