The 10mm will cost ya $50. There's a reason the FBI got away from the 10mm. It's not practical.

It would be interesting to know upon what data you are basing this comment and by whom you were told and their basis.  You need to remember that the FBI thought the 9 m/m was the do all, end all when they gave up the .38 Spl. until Miami, then they fumbled around with both the .45 ACP and the 10 mm before jumping on the .40 Short & Weak.  Now special units (HRT) are going to the .45 and 10.

I reload them. It's cheaper than .45 ACP! Lead is cheaper, uses same primers, and less powder. Only problem is getting fired cases to reload. In that, .45 excels since they are usually there for the scarfing up for free at the ranges I frequent. It's rare to find any 10mm laying around.

Delta Steve, nice analogy.  I know Rome was just trying to comment on the comments that were posted under the 1st video listed comment section.  He's a handloader and soon to be commercial loader once he's up and running.

The FBI's story with the 10mm cartridge is still affecting the some peoples thought process...however the tried and true 10mm enthusiast understand the power spectrum from mild to wild it is capable of delivering!  Deticated commercial loaders and handloaders continue to apply the WOW Factor as we know it!

Shadow your right I was a little tick off when he said it was not practical & than answer kind of being a smart #$& I took as him being vacuous. I gave him the 10mm story why the 40 S&W was born & 16 rounds of 10mm fire power in full power 10mm loads was to me the ultimate hand gun weapon. Hell 44 mag in 200 grain I seen slower velocities than 10mm. I guess I am not use to that kind of constructive criticism especially why he ask why would I what that over a 45apc?

Well Pittsburgh P.D. is dropping the .40 for their reasons and are intrested in the .45 and Sioux City Falls is dropping their .40 and going 9mm. Pittsburgh is not happy after officer shootings not putting perps down and that can be debated and the other seems they are not happy with recoil.WTF. Hey Steve 4102, thats my screen background at work.

Many departments are going back to 9mm's...agencies are switching back to the 9mm for several reasons.  Mostly for economics and standardization of one cartridge for the whole department.  That covers all the boys and girls in uniform recoil wise and gun sizes.  Availability of ammo also, although times are tough for them too!
