I shelved my 1006 last year and picked up a Gen 3 G-20C.  I wanted a higher capacity duty gun with light rail and the GLock was the only choice on my agency's approved weapons list.

The compensated factory set up is SWEET!  Less felt recoil than most poly framed 40's I have shot.  Almost immediately I saw the possibilities in this gun.  I got LW barrels in .40, .357 Sig and 10mm (so I can shoot my dirt cheap cast loads).  All barrels work flawlessly after about 50 rounds of break in.  The .40 even works with the light bullet Speer RHT (green) ammo required on our qual range.

Duty ammo is Winchester Silver tip which chronos an honest 1290 fps out of the factory barrel.

After seeing the successes with the LW barrels, I just ordered the 6" 9mm barrel, 11 lb recoil spring and stainless steel guide rod.  This will be capable of handling most any "battle field pick up" ammo.  Next on the horizon are the .38 Super barrel and the 9 X 25.  I just HAVE to have the Dillon round to scare the kids in the next county.  Soon will be a .45 ACP slide assembly/mags to complete the 7 caliber gun.  I see little need for the .400 Cor Bon or .40 Super as they do not do anything the 10 mm can't do better.

REDLINE

You're getting to the point of being set up superbly for a single frame for use with multiple calibers.

It's been a long time since I've heard of the Silvertips chronoing at an honest 1290 FPS.  I've seen them more in the 1150-1175 FPS range from Glock G20s.

Intercooler has some chrono data on them, but I forget what it shows and am too lazy to look right now.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Yep, you're getting a very diverse "kit" set up there. You're gonna need a big 'ol samsonite to keep it all together. Once you get it completed, post a pic of it, it will be impressive.

The 9x25Dillon is in its own league, and handloading affords more potential.  The 6" barrel has the most potential and velocity gains.

When you get the chance post a photo to make us jealous!   :o

I will definately go with the 6" barrel in 9 X 25.  My buddy Alan at Sprinco has a sweet set up especially for that set up.  I need to get to the range and wring out the new barrel.

Sounds like you may have Alan as a mentor to coach you along, that's will help out!  8)

Alan is great people.  His shop is in my beat.  In fact, I am sitting in his parking lot as I type this.  I have his recoil reducers in my 4506, and 1006, buffer springs in both my AR carbines, He inistalled the night sights on two of my pistols, he has cryo treated 3 barrels for me, and his "Machinegunner's lube" is REALLY slick stuff.

I don't mind giving a plug to a good person, turning out a good product.
