I guess in general I would say I simply don't find it in any way surprising. Nor do I see a negative aspect from any standpoint toward Hornady.

As far as we're mostly concerned here within the 10mm-firearms community, there shouldn't be anything to complain about in that: there is not any .400 caliber component bullet on the list, even though they've stopped the 10mm ammo loads with the 155gr and 200gr XTP bullets the 180gr load is still being produced, and even almost all component bullets that could be used in 9x25 Dillon are still being produced.

We really shouldn't be surprised. The hoarding along with what would have been usual sales emptied shelves of most ammo and components, among many other shooting related items, almost a year ago now. And I don't know if anyone has noticed, but it would seem we're going to have the same communist president in the White House for over 3 years yet who has already seriously threatened much of the shooters world. Does someone here think he's not done trying to get it beyond a threat level? They are treading relatively lightly right now because of the mid-term elections coming up. After those midterms there is nothing holding our communist president back from at least attempting to do whatever and anything he sees fit to do.

Anyone out there that thinks we're anywhere near the end of the hoarding era overall is kidding themselves. Hopefully the tides changes after our next president elect.

yea in Fleet Farm today in Green bay Wisconsin they had pretty good shipment come in several hundred of every caliber including 22 LR now they still have a one box limit because of opportunists but i was able to get to bricks of 22LR and 250 rounds of 45 ACP Magtec loaded ammo. but many folks hanging and moving towards the ammo area.

I alway thought Hornady was just complimenting their offering with ammo they are best at bullets. I guess ammo just fits in naturally to their offerings.

I don't know, but I personally think this is a good idea on Hornady's part.

They are trying to make enough of their most popular offerings to get something out there to their customers. I would commend them for their efforts.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure they'ld prefer to not stop production of any product they manufacture. In the mean time they claim moving toward further expansion of their facility and manufacturing equipment. What more can we ask.

I don't think it is over yet but the current buying trend is slowing slightly! When it becomes saturated the market will stabilize and shelves will once again show stock. Then the companies will grind to a halt as the market settles down! Prices may come down again too!

We can only hope, in the meantime I will continue to hand load my plinking and hunting ammo and hoard my factory loads for the Zombie apocalypse ${$default_cheesy_smiley}$

Slightly being the keyword, still leaving me without the bullets I want regardless. As for primers specifically, I don't even see slightly entering the picture yet, except for shotgun and muzzleloader which don't help me handloading 10mm Auto.
