You know now that I look at them even closer that may not be a crimp line?  ???  I am leaning toward the tool marks of the equipment used to pull the bullets...OUCH!  :o

Mine came today also.  It will be a few weeks before I can shoot them into wetpack but reloading and chrony work will begin next weekend.

Shadow, that 9.4 Longshot load looks crazy! I'm a little bit nervous about even loading 9.0 under a 200 grain bullet. I'm going to start at something more like 8.2.

I hear you, but 9.4 gr LongShot is what SwampFox & I also load under the Hornady 200XTP which is 0.6820" at 1240 fps.  It will be interesting to see what they will do.  So please keep us posted.

I think those 200 GD's are right at 0.698" - 0.700" with a beveled edge.
(BTW-I don't think the original 200 GD's had a beveled edge and had a flat base)

Here are my measurements:
200 XTP 0.678"
200 GD 0.697"
180 HST 0.641"

It is hard to judge but just by eyeballing I think that the XTP and GD have similar bearing surface area. The two are similar but it seems like the extra space displaced by the larger HP cavity of the GD vs the XTP is about equal to the beveled portion of the bullet. I have no idea, however, what the frictional difference is in the thick plated Gold Dot and jacketed XTP.

Look like some crimp lines but who knows.

But I am looking forward to you guys reports

Not crimping marks.  Definitely marks from the puller, probably a cam type, and a hurried operator.  Or, perhaps an undersize collet (.357).

+1 definitely pull marks.  They are much deeper than those left on the pulled HSTs I have, the jacket appears to be much harder on the HST.  On the HST it did not affect expansion at all (see Raggedyman's video, almost 1" expansion no separation).  I'm going to fire some into 2-liter bottles and see what happens.

I could not help but buy a one of a kind 10mm. Here is my recent talk to experts at Speer on 10mm GDHP 200 Grain

New LE ammo by ATK Web site has a 200 grain GDHP my search was futile? Can you tell me that Speer does manufacture a 200 grain GDHP in .400 DIA you absolutely positive they don

Rome

The depth of the 200 Grain cavity is the same depth as the 180 grain GDHP

George: the product was only sold in 2009, expect built on a work order for a
bid, total sold was ~ 50,000.  Now Not Released for Production in our system.

Rome, did you purchase some of these bullets from RMR?  ???

It has been a long time since Speer made the 200gr GDHP for handloaders if at all...They should be producing these for the 10mm Guys!  >:(
CORRECTION...I just rechecked my data from Speer #12, the 200 grain the show is a TMJ data.

However this bullet has a sort of beveled base which were pulled from said to be 40S&W Law Enforcement ammo run.

George: the last and only sales of the product were in late 2009 from the
records I had pulled this morning.  What is the Lot number, it will appear like
(J09Q24) and it will be on the corner wrap of the 1000 count case and on each
box.

I bought theses 2000 bullets pulled out of a 9000 bullet lot in excellent
condition after tumble them for a few hours. I am lucky than would you reload
them to 10mm specification?   I have Starline & Double tap nickel plated brass
what would be your recommendations? I have a one of one of a kind that was never
released for production?

We have a 200 gr TMJ in 0.400" which is only sold in our Blazer loaded
ammunition product part # 3597.

I am going to run some loads thru the chronograph this weekend. I doubt there will be much of a difference in velocity between the 200 gr GD , 200 gr Nosler and 200 XTP but we will see  ;D
