Harbor Freight is a good place to buy tools, however I much prefer to shop at Sears, since all their "Craftsman" tools are all American made and have a lifetime guarantee. I have also noticed that Brownells are now marking items that are USA made also. Buy American and help create an American job!

I bought a punch set and a small hammer at Harbor Freight for the pins, it has brass on one side, plastic on the other side.

I placed an order with Brownells yesterday but just for gun parts. That multi-tool was out of stock so I decided to piece my own kit together with Sears tools. Plus it didn't have the Hex sizes I need for my tasks. Now I just need to find a little compact case to put it all in.

Harbor Freight may be on visit list again because I would like to find a squirt can to put the Hoppe's #9 in.

Be careful and read all the small print. A lot of the "Craftsman" marked tools are made offshore these days. They will still honor the warranty, however.

I will have to check that too.  Been wanting a micrometer for measurements I really care about.

Okay, it's an old post I missed. I'd suggest Enco for a source of quality measurement tools. Sometimes they'll have Starrett or Mitytoyo tools on sale. Most of the 'house' branded stuff you find is usually of Chinese origin. I've found the Chinese stuff is accurate when new, but doesn't last like a quality piece. Sadly, even Starrett offers some low end Chinese pieces with their name on them just to compete.
