I took a picture today of my guide rod channel after all the Nukes it has seen with the stock guide rod:

Can you take a picture of yours since it is brand new?

Here is the picture Henning has on his site showing the damaged area. How does it look for comparison?

I did find this loose front sight today:

You may remember I lost the rear elevation screw at one point and a spring. After getting it sighted I put red loctite all over the sight in hopes of preventing again (so far so good). I did the grip screw too but not the front sight. Before the next visit the front sight will get installed with red loctite as well and it should be good to go. My last time out the Razorback had a loose rear sight preventing me from shooting it, so that will get zero'd again at the range and red loctite added to both. Only issues I have really had are loosening of components.

In looking at it the Match frame looks totally different than the Henning pictured unit down to having a square versus round anchor. Thoughts?

Intercooler

The Match is a large frame (they all are now) and I think what he had was a small frame. Nothing looks similar and the Hunter, etc... look even different. Please post up pictures of your Match guide-rod channels.

Intercooler

Is it just me or does yours look totally different than mine?

This metal damage was over the course of years.I can only imagine how much he shoots. Were shooting heavy 10's,but imagine shooting that on a level of a competitive shooter.Just some thought.

Pics didn't turn out so good.Im sure since you been shooting yours there is goining to be some wear.Maybe you should call Henning to get his perspectve.

I couldn't reach Henning... however I took my Hunter apart:

So as you can see the hunter rod gives about 270 degrees of support and a tight fit into the channel where it is square. IMO the Henning cone rod will duplicate this (stock rod moves around easy) making it about equal with the hunter rod.  Much more surface area to distribute the load. You would have to tear the entire channel out with the Henning piece.

BTW I used a magnifying glass on my Match and I have the slightest of metal turning up in the channel. Great mod with a better spring and the block.

Yea after looking at it versus the factory Match rod it puts it in perspective. The Henning rod for the Match will be very similar to the Hunter piece in what they do. I got Henning tonight on FB and will be ordering tomorrow.

This mod should give my Match some additional mileage now.

Talked to Henning today and got ordered. These are the shock buffers he is suggesting to use which the ears need clipped to fit:

Looks real similar and my little peening is magnifying glass material. With the Henning rod I think we will be Golden. Henning said one weekend he shot (don't shoot me if I give the wrong answer) I think 25k rounds. Is that even possible  :o
