If there were a system that would only allow the owner to shoot the gun. You can bet there would be a built in way for the government to turn the gun OFF so it could NEVER be used against them!
Remember the Second Amendment was put there to protect the people of the USA, against a out of control government.

It is pretty easy to look at the stats and see that any calls for gun regulation "for the children" are bogus.  If we are that concerned we would have gun-ed classes in schools as a very first step.

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

I wish so many people didn't fit the second criteria.  Way too much ignorance out there.  But with too much poor child raising and schools teaching nonsense mixed in with good lessons, I guess I'm not too surprised either.

The crowd out there that lives for the next handout and thinks everyone but themselves owes them something is getting way to big.  Of course I like to think that group has no excuse for existing at all, but that wouldn't be reality either.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

It's sad. I see this with my own daughter. I try to show her the value of a dollar, how to work for what you want. But I only have visitation with her once a week. She lives with her mother who lives on welfare, food stamps and section 8 housing. My daughter asked me the other day "why work, when you can sit at home and get free money? It seems like working is a waste of time." She is 14 years old. She should be thinking about getting her first job soon, but no, her mother has taught her that you don't have to work. The government will give you a place to live, free food and guess what? A free cell phone too if you qualify for food stamps.

I feel for ya.  What really sucks is once they've bought into the mindset hook-line-& sinker for any amount of time, it becomes super hard to dissuade them at all, and commonly never happens.

You kidding me? They'll suspend your kid if he makes like a gun with his fingers and says "Bang!).
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Ya ain't alone. Mine too. Same scenario, I paid the support (14 years) while the ex sat on her ass. She was a terrific role model. My "support" ended last year thank God, but the only time I see the girls is when they want money. I told them they need to get a job and then I would be willing to help someone that was trying. They ain't working and I ain't seen them since Christmas, 6 months now.

The title of the thread is "idiots"...I didn't say the suggestion had any serious traction most places...Just that it is the reasonable thing to do.
