I stopped by my LGS and asked about the S&W FPC, He told me he had some on order and asked if I wanted to be notified when they came in, of course I said YES! Stay tuned.....

I've briefly looked at the new S&W FPC and came away with mixed feelings.

Later I did find this review online which is pretty critical of the firearm but points several issues that I also saw.   Not to say it's bad but good to see several reviews before you purchase anything.

Thanks Ernst, lots of good info there.

Ten2, everyone's situation and intended use varies but while I want a 10mm pistol carbine that in some way can become compact for travel or storage, I also want one which can be fired, if needed, without any reconfiguration.

That was my biggest non starter with the S&W.

As of today I haven't made a purchase; however, the Ruger LC is attractive to me given that the stock folds to reduce the overall size but the weapons can still be fired without unfolding the stock or any other reconfiguration.  And, yes I'm fully aware of the "legal" restrictions over minimum length but if you're in the mountains/fishing and facing a charging grizzly I think that might not matter.

Again, I'm not bad mouthing the S&W nor any other PCC but you need to look at each offering to see which one best fits your needs.

I'm just simply adding to my collection. I built an AR 10mm which is still the favorite out of all my carbines. I also have a Kriss Vector and a TNW.  They all take Glock mags; I was happy to see S&W come out with the 10mm FPC so I could use mags I have for my compact and Performance center pistols. I think it would make a great combo.
It's probably not going to be something I will be putting a lot of rounds through.
