Out with March and welcome to April.  Many things will be happening here in the USA as President Trump pushes forth tariffs in the effort to bring back manufacturing back into the USA and or level the playing field with the world!

I'm hoping we may see better prices for powder and primers as they have been jacked up beyond reasonable.  Another thing is Hodgdon has taken up most of the other brands except Alliant and Shooter's World powders.

We are seeing 8 lb jugs $120 over what they were just a few years ago.
Primers have started to come down some, at one time the primers were $120, $100 per 1K and now seeing them down from that to $60 to $80 although some are still higher.

When we factor in shipping and hazmat fees it makes things disproportionate!
So, shopping local tends to make sense if things can be found.

I just continue looking for a deal here or there hopefully...

Yeah, tariffs are gonna suck for everyone.  I understand with all the trade deals and stuff that screws us, why he's doing it. And I hope it helps turn things around, but it seems that we're pissing up a rope.  Every time a new president gets in, they undo all the progress of before.

But, it's gonna suck for all of us poor folks.

As for buying powder locally, I have only a few ffl's in my town.  And none of them carries powder. If they do, it's stuff no one wants and sits on the shelf forever because they don't know really what they're ordering.

There is a new shop that's opened locally.  I keep meaning to stop in there, but haven't yet.
This post checked by independent fact checkers, and they're all pissed off about it.

It will take some time before the economy settles after Mr. Trump's tariffs take hold.  Some primers are US made, but not so many powders, IIRC.  Not sure if this will help us shooting consumers.???

Still, I 100% support the tariff plan; it WILL bring more manufacturing back to the US. Several companies have already pledged to do so!
