They really do!  This is the most laid back highly informative good people firearms related website I've ever come across.  Love it here! 8)
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

I picked one up about 3 months ago, my first 10 mm, under 600 before tax.  Liked the cartridge but not the Rock.  I had a Tactical Two-Tone earlier in .45 ACP and with a trigger job it ran like a new clock, but I found the 10 to feel gritty even after a nice solvent bath de-grease and cleaning.  Fired 100 rounds, listed it for sale (after taxes I think I lost $20) looked around at DW Pointman on Gunbroker, then bought a Kimber SS Target 10 when the DW price went out of my range.  Really happy with the Kimber.  That makes 3.

Apples to oranges comparison. A 1200 dollar gun SHOULD be much better than a $600 one. I went with a Dan Wesson Razorback for my first, a custom built Fusion Firearms long slide that cost me twice as much as the Wesson. Guess which one I think is better? Though the Dan Wesson shoots dang good!

Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Actually, my point was that the older Two-Tone Tactical was a really nice gun and shot very well especially for the money, while the 10 mm was something of a disappointment at about $100 more.  Rocks are still good bargains, but IMHO their overexpansion has hurt their quality in the low budget market.  Money no object, I would talk to one of the big three (Wilson, Brown, Baer) but it is and I'm too old to think about Ferraris.

I've been quite happy with my RIA 10mm; paid $543 for it and the trigger is as good as a friends Kimber. Yes I spent about $20 for spring pack and $18 for FBFS so guess its close to $600. It fires everything I run thru it weekly and now has about 1700 rounds thru it. No its not pretty and no I don't have any BBQ rigs to brag on. It just goes bang every time with no drama. Same with my Glock 20; just keeps on going (yes it has a Storm Lake Match barrel so I can reuse my brass).

Well, who wouldn't? But if cost is a big concern, $600 for a 10mm ain't bad!

gandog56,
$600 is absolutely great for all metal 10mm that doesn't pig belly the brass or require a aftermarket barrel. And the 10mm 1911is a great "stress reliever" .

Tell me about it, since both of my 10's ARE 1911's!   ;D

The only thing I know of is the slew of models being dropped.

So here is the definitive list from CZ USA for the Discontinued guns for 2013.
So if you were looking for one of these and can find one now is the time to buy.
There may be some odd one coming still but once those are gone there will be no more

Well, CZ stopped making the Dan Wesson Razorback. But I think a lot of potential customers wrote or emailed them, so they started making them again. I mean, unless there is a newer model .380 ACP, I can't believe they are discontinuing the CZ83.

I think the razorback change was more about creating an inventory space between the old and new models.  IIRC the old ones were cast frame, and the new ones forged.

I don't wanna start a war about cast vs forged.  Yes...Forged are stronger.  No...you aren't likely to tell a difference between the 500,000+ rounds a cast 1911 will run and the 1,000,000 rounds a forged one will run.

I would find it odd if they drop the -83 without a replacement.

cmemiss

Pure speculation, but they might be letting the supply pipeline empty for a year before introducing new models.  Seems to me the .380 is hot lately for CCH so not having one is puzzling.

Welcome to the forum cmemiss!

The Kimber makes a nice 10mm platform as it offers more chamber support than any other 10mm semi-auto platform I know of.  Eats nuclear level 10mm loads with ease. 8)

It won't last long doing that if you don't upgrade the 18.5# factory recoil spring to 20# to 22# range and/or EGW non beveled FP Stop. Once that's done it will be a tough one to beat that's for sure.

Squid, have a 22# spring due to arrive Monday, along with a flat bottom firing pin stop.  I added the stop to offset the 20# mainspring I installed (reduced trigger pull a half pound, now just under 4).  Hoping to find a balance and not be chasing brass all over the range.

GD 58, you might want to check here: http://lanbosarmory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=24_27_28&products_id=15890  Out of state it is $10 shipping and no sales tax. When he gets more n stock.

My TLE/RL has from factory with 4.7# trigger, with cleaning and a proper synthetic oil in trigger group and a very light synthetic grease on rail contact surface and about 50 rounds later it has dropped to 4.3# if friends digital trigger pull gage is correct. The 4 to 5 pound range is about the sweat spot for a combat/duty/CCW gun like the TLE, but a target gun or comp gun like you have should be 2 to 4 pound range depending on type of shooting and individual preference.

I have the FPS in parts box waiting, but will wait till recoil spring arrives this week before doing that install.
