I have been working on perfecting 41AE reloads as a lot don't want to chamber correctly. I am using Sierra 170g JHP and Lehigh 150g. Today I tried an old trick of using a 10MM taper crimp die to smooth out and reduce the case neck down a touch. Worked like a charm and I may test today but all rounds seem to chamber just fine and I know the round shoots.  The main problem with this is I have to use 41 mag dies as the 41AE dies don't exist anymore that I can find. If this works I would not need them anyway.  Taper crimp is always the answer!! Craig

The ones that I knew would work did very well. The ones I didn't think would work didn't. I need to be careful on how much I squeeze these as some wrinkled the brass and wouldn't chamber. I know what I did wrong and can fix I think.  Craig

I never had any problem loading for my 41AE using a set of Lee dies.  Though I don't really shoot it much anymore, my gun is an old small frame Tanfoglio.

I have the full size Tanfoglia in 41AE and it is a nice gun to shoot. My problems come from me not spending enough time on setting up to reload 41AE. When I do it right it works right.  Craig

Loaded up 16 170g sierra JHP at 7.0g Power Pistol I will shoot tomorrow to test. The loading went real smooth as I took some time adjusting the dies ending with the 10mm taper crimp die. All came out very good. I did load 6 in the mag and ran them all through the chamber and it was smooth as glass. We will see tomorrow.  Craig

Shot the reloaded 41AE loads and they were fine.  Also shot some of the Lehigh rounds and they were also fine.!! Case closed.  Craig
