So yep I'm a Newbie on this site so have been posting a good bit in the excitement of new place to Chat and share info. I actually only am on 1 other firearms / loading site besides here.
So The good News is I'm recently gotten a new Glock 20 Gen 5. Prior to this 10mm i used 357 or Super Redhawk Casull for woods gun. maybe I'm getting old but Unless I'm expecting Sasquatch or someplace Other huge critters are I believe the 10mm will serve well and like the lighter gun and more capacity. Well here's my thoughts and experiences so far with the Gen 5,  It does come with the slide cut for a optic but Ill never put one on a gun for real outdoors use or for ccw.
1) The Barrel and chamber.
The riffling is definably noticeably deeper. The chamber support is outstanding and completely covers all of the case 100% when a round is in the chamber. The chamber is tighter than any previous Glocks i have seen or had. Very slight side to side movement compared to older generations.
2) Overall.
I do like the better finish on the gun. its a darker color black and believe it will stand up better in the wilds when needing to swim across a  creek crawl though mud and brush etc.
I like the grip without the finger groves better especially when wearing gloves. I also like the slight flare at the bottom of the grip for the mag well.
The front slide serrations actually really help with racking or checking for a round in the chamber.
The only thing I can say that i noticed perhaps negative but hasn't been a problem is that there seems to be "less" rail on the lower for the upper slide connection. Maybe its just as good or the same as a gen 4  but to me i noticed when disassembling or assembling it feels like there is less contact. maybe?
Overall I am very happy with getting the Gen 5 over the Gen 4. I've only got about 800 rounds though it so far while doing load developments and testing for reliability. Loads I've shot were 180 gr. XTP, 200 gr XTP 180 gr. FMJ, 180 gr coated Cast bullets and 200 gr. WFN-GC. I can say when working up loads including some pretty hot loads i never saw a case bulge, smiles or any signs of problems. Yes few times i got bit flat primers but again no bulges or smiles. Only time a had a feed problem was twice checking reliability doing Mag dumps with the WFN-GC until I got the COL figured out so that wasn't the guns fault that was the blondes fault that was doing the loading.
I think so far its a solid gun that will always go Bang under any conditions. Its a Glock. Not a pretty laminated stock rifle or Kool kidd tricked out wantabe operator Star wars gun. Its a solid tool that seem so far it does what its intended in real outdoors environment when you need it.  Feel free to ask any questions if i missed anything.

Would be interesting to see what the case bulge size expands to near base.... with your warm loads.

I see .432 most of the time on a G20/3 ( if they hit .434, I trash them for reloading ) on warm loads.
To compare, my Sig 220/10 never gets near .427

Working the brass excessively makes it more prone to cracking.

PS  really good loading thread powders/expansion/accuracy from a way back.

Ill have to measure some more cause i cant remember now what they measured. Ive seen bulging at all and when reloading and resizing cases dont see or feel anything out of the norm. Im on 5th reload on some of the cases. have about 1000 or more fired though the gun so far not noticed anything or problems. Ill check a couple again next time and see what they are.  I think Glock tightened up on the chambers and any "unsupported chamber issues on newer guns from what i see compared to older guns i have or seen. that my personal opinion so far.
