Slg P220 Elite 10mm slide milling while leaving the factory sights in place, is

I?ve done substantial research on this topic with little success. My hope is to have an optic option on my P220 Elite 10mm without having to remove the factory sights, as the irons have served me well, and the red dot would only be used for deer season, but that could change. If this is possible, I?m also wondering if the optic plate will cause issues with my rather large invest of non-optic ready holsters. Then there?s the question on an optic riser to get above the irons. This may be one of these ?just leave it as is? things, but don?t know enough about this to make an informed decision.
