Longshot/180 TMJ loads

I'm looking through recommendations online vs my manuals. Loading with new starline brass, Longshot powder, and RMR 180 TMJ bullets. Firearm is 4.6" M&P.
My Hornady manual is calling 8.2 grains as max. I see people going up a grain higher. My Hodgdon magazine shows 9.5 as max and 8.2 as starting. This is pretty conflicting information. I've been loading for years, but this is my first 10mm.
I want to load some safe, "real" 10mm loads for range practice so I can get used to the recoil before working on hardcast woods loads.
Any recommendations?

Evening CZGunner, are you open to other powder options, or do you want to stick with Longshot?

I?ve loaded and fired many 180?s over 9.5 grs of Longshot.  I have seen the new data, and wonder if Hodgdon changed the formula.  I just bought a new 4 lb jug, and will have to load some at 8.2, and run them over the chronograph and compare to the old load.  It?s going to have to wait until Spring.  I suggest you start at 8.2, and work up.

Sure, I just have a pound of longshot sitting here.
My local shops are gouging pricks, so I don't care too much for spending money with them. I saw today 1 of pound Varget at the low price of $58.

Longshot is some good stuff, if you?re able to find any Blue Dot or BE-86 for a reasonable price, they work great as well

I've been looking, but none in this area that I've seen.

Other than the hazmat fees, you should be able to find it online
