Lee Pro 4 - 20 Lb Furnace question

My Lee Pro 4  - 20 Lb Furnace arrived, but have not tried it yet. My question is in regards to the valve arm movement via the valve arm knob. From watching a few videos on its operation, it appears that your alloy is dispensed by slightly raising the valve knob, and then bringing it back down when your mold is up to level. On mine, there is no movement when simulating opening and closing the valve via the knob. I?m wondering if this is happening because there is no molten alloy in the pot to dispense, or if the arm is out of adjustment.

There is an adjustment screw on top that lets you adjust how much it moves.

Thanks DDRiller, I?ll take a look at that today. I will say, the size of the 20 lbs pot is much more realistic than my little 4 lbs pot

Adjusting the screw worked perfectly for now. Once I run my first load I?ll be able to fine tune it, Thanks again!

4 lbs pot?   I can't even imagine.   You'd get 2 lbs of bullets out of it and be scrapping the bottom.     

The Lee 20 lbs pot is nice.    I have large washers hanging from the knob to help close it once done filling mold.  The pots are known to drip and extra weight hanging there helps keep it closed.   The weakness in the 2 pots I've owned are the 2 screws that the knob/metal bar ride on at the top and bottom of the pot.  These start to back out and the metal bar hangs up on the screw.   Watch out for this and be careful if adjusting the bottom one with molten lead in the pot.
