I picked up the Turkish made Sarsılmaz SAR9 a number of months ago, and finally came across a way get rid of the ambidextrous safety, replacing it with machined pin made for the SAR9. It does have a trigger safety similar to many polymer  striker fired pistols, so I?m not out anything, except now I don?t have to wonder if the safety has been inadvertently flipped on. For a sub $300.00 weapon, around $250.00 in my case that has proven itself to be 100% reliable, and has been rigorously tested (90,000 rounds of live fire) and then used by the Turkish army and State police. it?s turning out to be a dandy weapon for an incredibly low price. Below is an excellent article by the American Rifleman on the SAR9.
