What are some of the 9mm powders you?ve gotten good results with? I?ve loaded most of my recent 9?s with BE-86, but do have  Blue Dot, Power pistol, and long shot on hand, I?m not necessarily interested in charge weights, but am listening if you want to share. My most recent BE-86 loads were 5.8 - 6.0gr under a 124gr FMJ, and were very nice loads
Thanks

Hodgdon CFE pistol is one of the most versatile powders I have  found. Many of my reloading buddies have all started using this powder.I load 9 , 40 ,45 & 10 with this powder.

Thanks, that?s one of the reasons I like BE-86, I use and like it for 10mm also

Power Pistol is good, Blue Dot also, but BE-86 is flash suppressed and works well.

Some of the hottest I've tested were loaded using Winchester Autocomp
Hodgdon's CFE Pistol also good

I've tested a lot of powders for 9mm.  Mostly mouse fart "gamer loads" for competition shooting in my M&P 9L or my AR-9 but also practice ammo that duplicates my carry ammo in my self defense guns.  Regardless, the things I look for in a powder are, Accuracy, clean burning, how well the powder goes through the powder measure on mu progressive press and finally, low muzzle flash.
The powders I've tested in 9mm can be broken down into two tiers.

Tier 1 - Lite target loads.  Mostly for USPSA production division using bullets from 124 gr to 160 gr weight.  These powders work well for how lite the loads are, around 125-130 Power Factor.
Win WST
Win 244
VV N320

Tier 2 - Factory Duplication loads.  From bulk pack FMJ to JHP +P type loads.
Win WSF
Alliant BE-86
Hod.  HS-6
Win 231 / HP-38

I've used more WST and WSF than the rest combined.  WST for lite mouse fart loads, and WSF for the hotter stuff.  Theirs not much info on these now a days but I first tested them back in the 90's when they were introduced as replacements for the discontinued 452AA & 473AA.  I will probably be replacing WST with the new Win 244 once the last keg is gone but I have yet to find anything to match WSF for tier 2 type loads, but BE-86 is awfully close.

don't laugh but my favorite powder for 9mm (and many other pistol caliber loadings) is that flammable dirt called Unique. I rarely load light loads and Unique is always at the fast end of the chart. it may be a little dirty but gives me the power, accuracy and consistency I like.

My go to for 9mm is titegroup.

I know that many complain that it can be "peaky" and tempermental, but it's the main one I grab because I mostly shoot heavy 165 gr subsonics through my suppressors.  It's my main plinking load, so as you would imagine, I shoot a bunch of them.

I have some 115's loaded up with longshot this week to sight in a gun with because they are close to what most any other commercial load is.  But, it doesn't meter too good.

I use BE86 for my SD load in the p365 with 124 gr gold dots because that tends to net more fps than anything else I have tried.  At least in that short of barrel length.
This post checked by independent fact checkers, and they're all pissed off about it.

Thanks, I still have some Unique around from years back that I totally forgot about. At this point, I?m liking BE-86 the best for 9?s. and for many of my 10?s
Thanks folks!

Ken. Hows it going? I have used Power pistol for 40 years or so with all calibers no problem. Unique will drive you crazy as it doesn't meter that well. It is very similar to Power Pistol speed wise and I used it for a long time before Power Pistol. I would use up the unique and move to power pistol but remember I have not been able to buy Power Pistol in a year and a half. Oh well nice to hear from you.  Craig

Power pistol has been available in the past month. I bought a jug a few weeks back from either midway or Brownells I can?t recall.

My standard blasting 124gr has been with BE-86 at 5.4gr 1.140. Also, Silhouette if I ran out of BE-86 at 5.8gr.

HP-38/W231 and Universal are my go-to 9mm powders.  Most of my 9mm loads are for range fodder to function check and practice with my SD firearms.  I get good accuracy and reliability from both of these powders.
