I found this blurb on FB this morning, and thought someone, somewhere, would like to know. I have a 617 already, so I'm not in the market, anyway, but I'd guess someone wants one.

Colt is on a heck of win streak since they got back into the revolver game....
The Cobra 2017, King Cobra 2019 have been huge successes and very popular.
Then they rolled the updated Python out in 2020 - It was in the top 10 most purchased handguns in 2020 & 2021; a monumental success.
In 2021 Colt brought the updated Anaconda back (bigger version of the Python) and it's also received monster acclaim and crazy sales in the year that it's been out.
Now Colt introduces the King Cobra 22lr....  It's really an updated Diamondback but they won't call it that because Diamondback Firearms sorta snagged the name in the interim.  So the King Cobra 22lr it is.....

I was definitely among those that initially dismissed the Python when it was reintroduced in early 2020 as ridiculously overpriced.  That was until I actually laid eyes and hands on one...  I was incredibly impressed.   I already wrote a mea culpa here and gave my honest impressions on the Python when I acquired it and took it out and fired it; so I won't bore with another run through.
What has changed since then however; a new Anaconda 44 mag & King Cobra 357 mag are resting beside the Python in the safe as I write this.  Yea, things got a little wild there for awhile.  I got the colt bug bad.  Like any good collector who doesn't want to go bankrupt....  Gone a Sig Sauer 40S&W; gone was a Ruger SP101 in 357 mag, gone was a Taurus Raging Bull 44 mag to help fund this new infatuation with updated Colt Revolvers....

So yea Glen, at some point after the craze dies down a lot.....  I'll probably end up with a new Colt 22 revolver too. 8)

Far as I'm concerned right now, these new Colts are by wide measure significantly better than any other revolvers  currently being manufactured domestically.  They are not cheap by any means but check them out; you might be surprised and impressed too.  YMMV

Don't misunderstand, I still love my 10mm pistols!!  They won't be going anywhere exempt down to my children when my run here is over.  However, these new Colts have keenly peaked my interest in fine revolvers.

This is interesting and now I want to go look at one.

It's a shame they didn't make this something that converts to .22 Magnum. That's the one feature I love about my 992!

Right, that would be off the chart cool!

I do like the Taurus Tracker M992 as well but haven't one in the wild for a while.
