I have bought a Taurus TH9 in the last month or so. Shot it some but lately it had been not going into full battery with my reloads.  May have been shooting more factory rounds as I didn't have any reloads but do now. I have been shooting the blue bullets lately and they are the ones jamming. It is putting a perfect ring in the bullet near the rim so it's not reaching the head spacing ring in the barrel.  I am using a dedicated taper crimp die last so no problem in the case and it must be the bullet itself I am guessing. Has anyone heard of the bullet being too large to chamber?? I measured a few and they are in the neighborhood of .340 to 3.53 or so. The col is close or short so that's not it. Some of my other reloads have worked but I don't have a lot to test with just now. Any ideas???  Craig

BTW I have shot the questionable rounds in other guns with no problems!!

Another thought is I haven't had the gun long enough to break it in so that might be the issue!!.

Craig, I recently picked up a PSA Dagger 9mm (G-19 clone)  My loaded cast 2R rounds had to be seated to 1.088" or less to fully chamber.

The plunk test showed that they were touching the truing cone at the end of the chamber with that bullet.

Yeah Wade I may try to load deeper as something to try as the blue bullets are a slight taper to the round tip. Thanks for info I really feel it is something I can deal with or send the gun back in for work under warranty.  Craig

Well the COL die slipped and it was setting them around 1.14 tp 1.15. Reset those and all chambered just fine. Thanks Wade for waking me up!!!  Craig

Hey Wade thanks for your help. I loaded a blue bullet 135g cone shaped to a sharp point bullet and it shot great today with no problems in two guns. I think it's called a conicle bullet but not sure on the spelling. I had to really beat the bushes for the data but found some and went from there. Nice round and I need to load more as I have some. I also need more work on the 115g round head bullet. Gives me something to do.  Later.  Craig

Usually, the cone shape is called a "truncated cone"
A truncated cone is the result of cutting a cone by a plane parallel to the base and removing the part containing the apex.
