I've got a new LWD G20 slide coming for  my gen 3 G21 frame.  I attempted a conversion with a Double Diamond 10mm conversion barrel but there were  a lot of FTE FTF failures, so I ordered the G20 slide. It turns out the DD 10mm "conversion" barrel was just a regular 10mm G 20 barrel marked for conversion.  It fit right into the Lone Wolf slide with no modification whatsoever.

RickShooster, The 10mm Barrel diameter may be different for the opening of the G-20 Slide?  I am not positive just speculating.  Also as you mentioned the barrel hood with may be different with.
I hope you post more about this project as you move forward!

Best of luck with the build!

I have 3 LW pistols built entirely from LW parts, and a G3 G20.

You are not alone, trying to shoot 10MM through a 45 upper and vise versa is almost never going to work. I got that from LW when I started down the path many years ago with my G3 G20 Pistol, and they were correct.

The top ends of the G20 and G21 are interchangeable on G20 or G21 frame. Any combination will work as long as you you a full top end specific to caliber and magazines. Magazines are obviously not interchangeable.

You can shoot 40 out of the 10MM. It will work in the 10MM barrel and I know people do it, I wouldn?t advise it. Just get a 10 to 40 conversion barrel.

I have a G3 G20, a complete G40 built completely out of LW part (including their frame), a complete G21 built completely out of LW part (including their frame), and a complete G41 built completely out of LW part (including their frame).

They technically aren?t G40 and G41 because they are built in the larger frames and slides, and I don?t even think LW offers the long slide parts anymore (?), but they are awesome. My G40 is a hand cannon I use for pig hunting.

Any one of those uppers will work on any of the lowers. I have them specifically each for a purpose though so I don?t swamp them around. I used to use the Glock G3 G20 for all the uppers until LW came out with their frames, then I bought a frame for each upper so I could just have complete guns.

It?s been so long since I put them together but I believe that the ejector and extractor is the same?? I may be wrong. I don?t know. It?s been a while since I had to do anything with the small parts

Not sure the barrel will go in with a lot of work. The breach face on the 10mm and 45 is so different? Can?t hurt to try.

Yes, what I've read is in total agreement with what you  say.  I've built a G22 with LWD slide and it turned out great.  I'm thinking with an actual G20 type slide, things should get back on track pretty quickly.  I still have to pick out some sights.  I mainly wanted to do this because I've long wanted something like a .357 magnum but in a higher capacity semi auto, and this is as close as I've come.  I've also built a .45 Super and 400 Cor-Bon on 1911 frames, but they are limited in capacity.  The 400 Cor-Bon with it's necked down case doesn't like a full mag.  Six rounds is reliable.  Go to 7 and the first round likes to tip down and jam against the frame ramp. Really good mags with strong springs help that, but it's still limited.   Thanks for the reply!
If you reload you can get your 10MM loads really cooking. Lots of great info on here about it.
