Hodgdon Load Data Misprint

It appears that Hodgdon has an online misprint for 10mm 180gr Jacketed bullets using Longshot Powder.

Their previous manuals listed the following.
180gr SIE JHC, Start charge = 8.5gr,   Max charge = 9.5gr  Longshot

This is also what Lee has published in their 2019 manual as they get their data from others like Hodgdon.

Todays Hodgdon online manual list the following,
180gr SIE JHC, Start charge  = 7.0gr,   Max Charge = 8.2gr Longshot

It just so happens that this new online data for the 180gr Jacketed bullet is the same as their data for the 200gr Jacketed Bullet.
Start Charge = 7.0gr,    Max Charge 8.2gr Longshot.

I contacted Hodgdon a couple times via Email to inquire about this, but have not received any reply.

I don't think it's a misprint, I think it's simply the fear of being sued, probably coupled with people wanting to conserve powder

Steve4102, I usually stop at 9.6 grains of longshot with the 180 grain JHP's.  I have tested with more, but it starts to stress the brass more that I like with my pistols.
In my pull-down documentations I have seen even more used with the recommendations for "FULL-SUPPORTED" chambered barrels and upgraded recoil systems.
Yes, the older data from Hodgdon did show the 9.5 grain for the 180gr SIE JHC as you mentioned.
The newer publications are slightly lower as you stated...

I run the 22 lbs springs in most of my 10mm pistols and only hand weigh each and every load verified on my RCBS Balance beam 5-10 scale.  This has insured that every load is exactly what it should be.  The use of standard and magnum primers has been used at the 9.6 grain load I use for the 180 grain jacketed bullets.

Shadow,

What OAL are you using with the JHP?  I assume these are hunting and not plinking loads ?

Pressure went up, velocity went down along with the change.  This suggest strongly a misprint or they have a new powder formulation, or they identified a problem with their previous transducer data.
