Another Dumb Question of spring LB. strength for 40 Short and Weak Ammo.

What spring weight should one use when shooting a 40 S&W ammo in a G-40? I have a 22LB in my Lonewolf slide but ordered a 17 pound spring as well. I was wondering of the 22 lb spring might be to much for the 40 S&W and such.

Note, I do have the conversion barrel I'm going to shoot the 40 short and weak with. I've seen so much of that ammo at retailers, I guess I can use that to practice with, as its much cheaper than 10mm.

I use the 22 in my G-20 and 21 in my G-29 and the 40S&W have worked well no issues

It seems there is a big supply of 40 short and weak locally...I wonder why?
