Looking forward to testing these, as I have tested the 124gr offering. These are the 147gr Xtreme X-Def line of defensive hollow points.

The 124gr is an amazing option for short barrels as the max velocity is around 1120fps. Which with careful powder selection can be made at standard pressure, achieve really good expansion (.600"), and great penetration (12+ inches). Weight retention is excellent as it is a bonded design.

I like how they built these upon the gold dot technology, but changed the hollow point cavity. In the 124gr it's very deep, which resists plugging when shooting through the heavy clothing protocols.

The 147gr is no different, as the hollow point cavity is very deep.

Once weather co-operates here in Ohio I will send these into the clear ballistics gel block. Will try and actually start recording these videos. Will use the bare gel and FBI heavy clothing tests.

They do, seems like Xtreme copied the design while modifying the hollow point cavity. Even in the 124gr variety, the hollowpoint cavity is exceptionally deep. The other difference is the lead hardness. It's fairly soft, so must stick to the recommended velocity of 1120fps or under in the 124gr.

Freedom munitions loads this to 950fps, mine should be just over 1000fps. So we will see if it has a negative impact on the results.

That's them, price point isn't bad by any means. Especially if you catch the free shipping.
