Hmmm, I wonder why the 4.5 and 5.25" XDM 10mms have been discontinued? They seem to be very popular to me, so much so that the 3.8" OSP has gotten alot of attention as of late.

Things in general are only discontinued for a few reasons...

1. Bean counters decide low sales make even small yearly runs unprofitable.

2. Poor design necessitating warranty (shudder) work.

3. Dangerous product failures caused lawsuits

I bet it's number one.

must be #1. the few problems I've had with my 10mm XDm were ammo related and not the gun's fault.

That?s a shame. I like mine tons better than my semi custom Glock 20.

But then, maybe they will replace those dropped models with OSP and Elite models?

Sure hope SA doesn?t tank the Ten.

So far the Ronin and two XDM's are on their site, so that's a plus.

Too bad, I had just been talking to Shadow about the XDM, and how it was a good fit for my hand... well I have other options. 8)

Welcome Mike, lots of knowledgeable folks here

the OSP 3.8? is a fantastic weapon I like it better than the 5.25 match I had. My guess they just didn?t sell enough but because the little OSP is optic ready easy to conceal it will sell well. I love the trigger control and optics for this little GEM. Honestly if I carry full size I prefer my SIG to the XD 5.25. Nice to have options for sure.  ;D

Is it just that they are moving to only produce the XD-M Elite line? The elites do not appear to be discontinued.  I just ordered mine yesterday.

I was surprised as well...

I picked up the Elite 3.8" as a candidate as my main carry pistol for the town and the woods.  Took it to the range and did a comparison between it and my G29 and created a YT video.

Was waiting on the red dot plate to install my Vortex Venom and thought I'd send it back for frame finish flaws.  Supposedly a 2-4 week repair.  Sent back first week in December, so 7 weeks and counting.

Getting concerned.

Well that's a shame. Now I have to find a 5.25 and full size OSP. My 4.5 has been an absolute dream and I was thinking of collecting several of them.

Already see the ItS dIsCoNtInUeD scalpers have hit gunbroker and the rest are gone. Dang.

If most shot like mine, then good riddance. Decent ergonomics, just an inaccurate piece of crap.

The new S&W 4.6 shoots so, so much better.
