So a few months back I acquired a like new 10mm 7in KKM nitrided barrel for $100 which I couldnt pass up.

Im considering pairing that with a Lone Wolf OEM styled G20L slide. Wondered what those of you who might already have this slide impressions were on it.

Is the fit and finish decent?

Has it been reliable?

What weight spring has been best for this set up? (I run 22# now on g20 standard length)

I got one off eBay this year as it was just too cheap to pass up.  It is not marked LWD inside rear but looks like it came from the same source that Lone Wolf either makes or sources.  Fit and finish is just fine and I too have the KKM 7" nitride barrel.  I put threads and a comp on the end and still use my 22# spring.  Before comp the brass went 15' and now goes 10'.  The load I am shooting is 180gr jacketed with 9.1gr Longshot at 1.255.  Newer data for this powder is down around 8.2gr so proceed with caution.

Not sure I needed it as my stock G20 slide has been milled and a red dot with co witness sights installed.  It also works just fine with the KKM barrel.

There are a number of G20/40 L slides on GB these days. I asked and they are made by Alpha; I have no knowledge of them

Appreciate the response! Same I dont need it but nice to have options. For $200 not a big deal.

I have been running the 7 inch barrel in the G20 slide too. Its marked as G40 on packaging but clearly thats just a length thing. Figured it might just be nice to have a secondary completed upper for the gun along with the longer sight radius.

Available on eBay yep and LWD had them about 2 weeks ago. Their eta for in stock is listed as within a few weeks.

Just checked and LWD is back in stock at $229. It was $189. So what is posted on eBay now at $209 with free shipping appears the best pricing currently.

I have a G20L slide on a Gen 3 G20 frame with a lone wolf G20L threaded barrel. Shoots ridiculously accurate. I believe I am also running the 22# spring in it.

I got one with my spare 6" KKM barrel in it, it fits the G-40, and the polymer 80.

I purchased the slide and its on the way. Anyone have any steel sight recommendations? I would think sight height would need to also be lower with increased slide length.

I ran regular G20 sights on mine before the RMR and suppressor height sights were installed.

Well I found from experience for AFFORDABLE barrels with super quality is the KKM barrel. But the "price" you pay for it, is a very long lead/wait time for it. And they can handle the wider XTP and other wider than normal hollow points as well. But they are well worth it!

The Alpha Wolf Barrels I got, work good as well with standard factory loads like Normal JHPs, but they have a problem loading the wider XTP bullets and caused Failure To Feeds about every bullet. But that's the only problem I had with Lone Wolf Barrels. But I still use the 40 Short and Weak Conversion barrel a lot now as it seems 40 S&W ammo around now a days to practice with.

Talked to my FFL07 buddy today about Cerakote, nitride and PVD options.  He can do all for
Less than $100. Just placed an order for Dawson blacked out steel sights for like $70.

Looks like a plastic washer comes with a G20L slide. Clearly it is for the recoil rod assembly but can someone confirm where is is placed within the captured assembly? Thinking it would make most sense under the cap and metal washer. So between the metal washer and spring. I could be wrong! Just doing a sanity check as there seemingly are no directions. My understanding is that it prevents binding during the stroke at the barrel.
