I have both a full size and an Elite Match.  The frames for all the "elite" guns are made in Italy, not in the Philippines.  And comparing them side by side, they are obviously better.  More material, better polish, fewer machine marks, fewer casting marks.  In the case of my elite match, the frame is hard chromed.
