Interesting that there's no white in those white dot sights. I agree with Beemer re provenance. Hard to say conclusively from the pictures, but that looks like laser engraving on the frame.

My guess is it was put together by that outfit who bought up a bunch of the old leftover and reject parts a few years ago and put out a bunch of so called Custom Bren Tens.

Keystone should know better and probably actually does.

A legitimate pimped out gun like that would have presentation grips, at least the Jeff Cooper wood grips that match the wood case.

The description says that the Miami Vice Movie made the SF model famous. It has been so long since I saw the movie; did it have the SF in it?  I don?t recall.

And your screen name is Vice?   ;)

The Miami Vice gun was used in the TV show and not movie.  It was a full sized Bren Ten chambered for 45 ACP as 10mm blanks were hard to find at the time and had the slide hard chromed to show up better in dim lit scenes.

There were two Special Forces models, Light and Dark, and both featured 4" barrels as opposed to the the 5" in the auction.

I know about The original Miami Vice TV show. If you reread my post, you will see that I said MOVIE, which is what the Gunbroker Listing you referred to, referred to.

While I will never have the awesome Bren Ten collection like you have  8), I do have 2 Special Forces Light; one which is unfired, set up with Left hand controls from the factory.

I guess I took your post too literal, I was not trying to demean you in any way.

I was just pointing out more mistakes in the auction listing, sorry if you are offended.    :-[

It?s all good. I was just trying to reinforce my original point and add some bit of credibility to myself.

Nice. And the special gold plated parts as specified by any sane group of Special Forces procurement guys... "Experimental Prototype Special Forces Model featuring the Unique Factory Finish Nickel Frame, Polished Blue Slide with Gold Inlay and Gold Parts".... do the Special Forces guys know this thing exists?

BS. Bren Tens were a scam and THIS Bren Ten might be the biggest scam that company ever came up with. You could get the guns cheap because magazines were practically nonexistent but if you had a Bren Ten magazine you could ask $600 for it and get it, too. And THAT thing is a piece of marketing BS.

CAVEAT EMPTOR.

Looks like the Brooklyn bridge... there is always someone out there that will buy it.
