Well this is amusing, I just found a partial box of 50 41AE I did sometime. Nor sure what it is except 210g bullet and Power Pistol powder. I am going to work up a load and would like to use AA9 if I can come up with some data.  This is close to 10mm if I load light but what to load I am not sure. Any input????  Craig

I did just find some 40 cal data for AA9 and up to 200g bullets. Also Midway has 41 cal Sierra bullets in 170g I would get some of those to try. I may have used them in the past. Craig

This is even better!! I went out to my reloading room and found two unopened Sierra 170g 41 cal boxes. Oh happy days!! I thought I remembered something about 170g bullets. So I will unload (shoot) some 41 reloads I just found and try to collect the brass. We are having fun now!!!  Craig

I went to my range today to see if I could find any of the 41AE brass I shot yesterday. Couldn't find a one!! so  I shot 2 with a net catching arrangement that didn't work at all!! I will hand unload some of these to test the 170g loads. I did shoot the 210 reloads that I found and boy they were as hot as the factory samson rounds. For just 2 shots it was kind of fun!!  Craig

This is getting stranger by the day. I found some 41AE in my storage area. Some were the 210g but some were 170g Power Pistol at 7.0g. I will shoot some of these to see how they are. I bet they are fine. Boy my brain damage is catching up with me as I don't remember much about these rounds in general and it was only a few years ago I did all this. Oh well!!!  Craig

I think this is a record for a bad day!!!!!! I got an text from fed ex stating a signature is needed for a delivery. I thought no problem I remember how to write my name so I waited all day for delivery of, YES, primers. At 4 pm they changed the tracking page as my delivery will be delayed until tomorrow. I skipped breakfast and lunch waiting for fed rx so at 4 pm I went to my favored subway and of course they were closed due to no help available. Boy normally on a day this bad I could at leased reload but no primers. Craig

Received my 1500 small pistol primers today from Fed Ex. I got them from the Castle arms and ammo web site and paid 199 plus 45 in tax and shipping. I will load a few and try to test tomorrow. At leased I got them and they are Fiocchi brand which I have heard of but not sure I have ever used them. They had other brands at other prices but I went for the cheap one's.  Well in general I couldn't be happier!!!!!!  I will report back as soon as I shoot these.   Craig

RANGE REPORT!!!  I tried to shoot the 41AE 170g bullets and they were too long for the mag. I will set them deeper and try again on those.  Shot the 10 rounds 9mm 125g pp with the new Fiocci primers and had no issues. Finished up with some 22 out of the S&W MP22 and all went fine. Will report back on the 41AE.  Craig

Hey Wade I found some 41 Lehigh deference bullets I tried to load at one time and did succeed with one 41 I found but didn't shoot. These are a very strange looks like all copper or not lead bullet. I do remember trying to swede these down to 10mm with a taper crimp die but don't remember the outcome. Ain't but something to do. The problem with these is they run big to make the weight and you run out of room in the 41AE case. Better for 41 mag I would think. Craig

The 41 Lehigh deference bullets are either solid copper or bronze, made for 41 mag.  It would be difficult to swage them down to 10mm and yes the solid copper is lighter than lead therefore bullets the same weight as lead are longer and take up plenty of case capacity.

I think I remember you telling me that a while ago. I think if I am careful I may be able to load these in 41AE but not sure if it is worth the trouble. Thanks for the info just the same. BTW I was moving some stuff in the reloading room and came across some 10mm HST JHP 180g. They need cleaned up but are in good shape other than that. I will wet tumble them. I now have small primers but am trying to find other things that need done so I don't load them all up. Ha Ha    Craig

Well I found some 115g 9mm FMJ also in need of cleaning so I did those and the 180g 10mm HST and ALL came out better than new. I JUST LOVE WET TUMBLING!!! CRAIG

Went out today with the 41AE 170g rounds and they shot the best so far of any I have shot. It's just a nice round lighter than either the 210g or factory samson rounds. I will take some apart to see what I loaded but am waiting for a new bushing for the RCBS unloading hammer. Shot some 9mm in the 5906 S&W and it shot great. Also shot the Ruger 22-45 target model 22 and it was very good with the reflex site. I forgot I even had this gun!!!  Craig
