Cleaning 45 long colt

I overloaded the Harbor Freight wet tumbler with 100 45 long colt and could barely get the top on. Not sure if it will clean very good but they were not very dirty and just going after the primer pockets and polish in general.  We will see. If it is real bad I can remove some and continue to clean but will give it a couple of hours in the tumbler as I need lunch anyway.  Craig

You need some room for the media and brass to mover around while it performs the work!

I know that now as I took 10 rounds out and tumbled for another hour and they were ok but not at all pristine the way wet tumbling can be. I would say 50 is max at a time for that small tumbler. It'll do 200 9mm cases and 150 300 blackout but 45 long are so fat they take up a lot of room.  Craig

Started resizing,flare and primer and guess what? I found 16 out of 100 starline brass mixed in. These are cheap empties I get at the gun show. I will load these for myself.  Craig

50 are done for my holster making guy's 9 year old son. I still have the 16 left for me and like 34 left out of the original 100 but no rush as I would need them in about 3 months. I am not even sure what I want for myself.  Craig

I wet tumbled my 35 Star-line brass getting ready to load.  Boy the brass is clean and shiny. This is all I have to load and am trying to finish.  Craig

OK I finished the star-line 45 long colt and boxed what I had up. I do have around 100 and it's like 50 FMJ and 45 JHP I did come across some JHP but  like Montana Gold or like that. Nice bullets and I will shoot when I can but these will last me years.  Craig
