burning hot brass inside your shirt

Reminds me of a class I had with a very well endowed gal wearing a tank top. I asked her if she had a sweater or other shirt to wear for the firearm handling / competency part because hot brass could go into her blouse. She blew me off and said she had no other shirt and that was that.

Well, I wouldn't let her load more than one round, and the FIRST round bounced off the booth wall, and went between "mount left and right peak"! She threw the gun down, lifted her tank top and bra up over her head in front of everyone to get the 9mm out. The class was laughing their butts off :-) I told her "I warned you"

Another time a gal was wearing hi heeled thongs, and I asked if she had some socks or different shoes in the car as hot brass on the foot could burn her. Again this one dismissed me, and I let her shoot one round at a time. Well the second or third round got in her shoe under a strap, she dropped the gun, and fell on her butt trying to get the shoe off.

Sexy is one thing, stupid is another.

Thanks Gary, after reading this article, I will likely better consider my clothing when i shoot

blaster

don't have to worry about that with a 10mm. somebody standing in the next County might though. :))

I shoot mostly outside.  When I shoot 9mm or 45 ACP I occasionally have brass that hits me, especially with lighter loads that conserve powder.

Never worry about that with 10mm.  Always ejects far clear of the shooter.

Yah, I saw a young lady digging elbow deep into a v neck top more than once :o Never saw one come off though!

I was participating in a pin shoot one time, shooting my Delta Elite. I had a great table going, but the empty from the second to last pin bounced off the divider, got behind my shooting glasses, and was just under my eyelashes on my cheek. I was so focused on the last pin that I shot it before I felt the empty. Worse, it bounced up on that last shot and was right in front of my eye. I shut my eyes involuntarily, went gun up finger off the trigger, and yelled "take it" to the RO that was standing on my strong side behind me. My weak hand was busy clawing my headphones and glasses off of my head. After I got it out I looked around and the RO was gone. I still had my gun pointed up. He dove behind the divider!

Yep, think something like this has happened to most of us at one time or another, kinda scary stuff

Ten2six

I've had that happen more than once. Luckily I've never been scalded bad enough to have to drop my weapon.
Funniest thing that ever happened was one time at an outdoor range I had a large angry bumblebee land on the ejection port of the pistol I was shooting, I watched it land and decided what the heck, fired another round and saw it disintegrate right in front of me.  ;D
Youth and exuberance are no match for age and treachery.

I had eliminated this issue for the most part, as I would shoot alone at my Friend farm for years. After thinking about it quite a bit, I normally try and have one person with me. You never know when something completely unexpected could happen
