EAA Witness Compact 10mm help needed

I saw a post on another forum where the guy bent the front part of the mag spring up to give it more up pressure on the front of the follower.  Have you tried this... I will try to find the post and add a link.

I would add a lower power recoil spring will help alleviate nose dive of rounds leaving the magazine by lessening the acceleration force on them.

The thing is they are black followers, not red.  They must be working on k-10's

The k-10 spring/follower works it the 12 round mag, but doesn't fix the problem. 

Just a pity SOMEONE won't build a decent mag for the compact.  I'd love the thing if I could make it reliable.
