SWFA Customer Service Comes Through

I recently ordered some binoculars from the SWFA website.  I have a pair of Athlon Midas 12X50 that are great, but I wanted something a bit less spendy for when I am out hiking and for travel.  Athlon makes the same binocs in the Argos line with the only difference being the clarity of the glass which cost half as much.  I thought it would make a nice comparison to see how much difference just the glass makes.

I have dealth with SWFA before and always had a great experience.  They have always met committed timelines and communicated clearly in instances when I ordered something that was out of stock.

I ordered the binocs a week ago Monday and paid for 2 day shipping.  I didn't really need them fast, but the added cost was only a couple bucks and they were in-stock, so I thought why not.  I noticed on last Wednesday that I had not yet shipped which was a little frustrating, but I understand the the current environment can cause delays.  I got the shipping notice on Thursday with a tracking number and thought I would see the package on Saturday.

Yesterday it was still not here, so I grabbed the tracking number to see what was up.  It was at this point that I realized the package had shipped ground, not 2nd day.

So, I emailed SWFA to find out what was going on.  Let them know I was frustrated and that I at the very least wanted the extra I paid for 2-day refunded.

I got a response less than two hours later.  With an apology, refund for all shipping charges and an explanation that the product had drop-shipped from the manufacturer and that the 2-day shipping didn't get communicated correctly.

Mistakes happen.  I appreciate that SWFA owned it, provided an explanation and made an effort to remedy via monetary recompense.  Solid business and I still give them full stars for the professional way they handled the mistake.
