I'm pretty sure many of the recent shootings are a biproduct of the below discrimination, coupled with mental illness, pent up rage, and possibly the new administration. These nutheads are going to wreck it for all of us

This article falls to the fallacy of so many.

Violent crime is up.  Alot.  Since guns are tools used by violent criminals, so-called "gun-crime" is up.  But so is "knife-crime" and "pipe-crime" and "bare hands-crime" (not to be confused with bear hands crime which is very rare since bears do not usually have a criminal motive).

And, yeah, I would agree that the pandemic is going to raise the nut level a bit.
