a true fact, I can't believe the left is bashing him so bad in this time of grieving for his family, like really 😡

I just got a weeklong Facebook vacation for defending Limbaugh.

Clearly you haven't paid attention to what the "left" is all about. Their reaction was 100% predictable.

Hate to ruffle feathers, but Rush never veered away from speaking ill of the dead (AIDS Update).  He didn't agree with their lifestyle or their politics and he was not respectful to them when they died.  Not sure why we would expect a courtesy afforded him that he didn't afford to others.

I was going to stay out of this but you are exactly right Sqlbullet. He didn't agree with other lifestyles. My wife and I believe in live and let live. We stay out of politics for the most part.

As I say all the time, I just want the nice gay couple down the street to be able to buy an AR-15 to defend their pot plants :-)

If after 30 years on radio, talking for 3 hours a day about controversial topics, often early on intending to be provocative, you judge Rush's life or excuse the evil way the social media mob cheered his death based on a handful of cherry picked bad jokes or brash comments: you're in the wrong.

The scales weighing the good he did in politics, philosophy, culture, and philanthropy vs those controversial comments fall absolutely in his favor.
"The meek shall inherit the Earth" is a mistranslation. Properly translated it would say: "Those who have swords and know how to use them, but keep them sheathed, shall inherit the Earth". Carry every day.

I sure enjoyed listening to him

I'd been in Germany from 86 to 91 (Air Force working the flight line) and got stationed at Ellsworth AFB as a Crew Chief on the B-1's in early 92. Worked the mid shift (11pm to 7am), come home to do evening things in the morning like yard stuff, help with the two boys or grill over a few beers and make a good lunch. That is when I first started listening. Twenty nine years later I'm now working at a fairly large Grain Elevator running a 120' crop sprayer all season, running a semi, or servicing equipment.  No, Rush Limbaugh wasn't perfect cause he was human like the rest of us. But when it came to "reading the stiches of a fast ball" in regards to politics and what it meant to those of us who actually work, he called out the hypocrisy and subversion of the left and their media. Just like President Trump, Rush couldn't drain the swamp but he sure as hell exposed it. Was in a truck with the radio on the morning of the 17th and when I heard his wife Cathryn come on, figured what was coming. I believe Rush provided a positive balance to our American Culture that is under attack.
