Gents,

Would any of you happen to have.one of the above and would you recommend it as a carry option?

Kenk

Evening Alabusa,
I nearly bought one a few months back, however I changed my mind at the last second. After much research, or at least what I gathered (right or wrong) it sounds like they require a fair amount of tweaking in order to ensure reliability. I'm sure others have better insight than myself

Have you taken a look at the XDm?

I have a XDM10 4.5 OSP already but am wanting something more compact for edc. I guess my best choice is the Glock 29.

I have seen reports of the same but most seem to be mag issues and running them 1 or 2 rounds short of full seems to help. I will keep researching as I really don't want a Glock.

I have a polymer compact and it took a little more work than I care to admit to get it to run right. It has the dual spring assembly and was so under sprung that the slide would lock open on almost every round. I changed out the outer spring to a 23 lb. from Wolff . That still didn't completely fix it so with some advice from a great guy at J&l gunsmith I was able to modify the slide catch enough to make it work. After several rounds down range I now have enough confidence in it and have made it my edc. It fits my hands much better than my 29 did.

Very few of my pistols remain stock and I do all of the mod work myself. That being said, would you recommend this pistol to me? Thanks you so much for your input!

In short, yes. Hopefully Tanfoglio has fixed them by now. If not be prepared for several testing sessions and lots of trial and error.
Feel free to contact me if you do ending up getting one that needs tuning.
I really do like it better than the 29.

Thanks but my firewall blocks that site.

I carried my Witness 10 compact for years, that short barrel worked great appendix IWB for me.  A while back I switched over to my Beretta Centurian in .40.

Old thread I know, but...

I have an Elite Match and compact versons of the 10mm.  I have run the compact barrel/slide on the Match frame for years.  It's been my go-to gun for outdoors: hiking, backpacking, motorcycle camping, etc.  Only downside is the weight.

I did have to bevel slightly the top of the chamber opening to keep cases from hanging up when chambering, but it's been pretty much flawless since then.  Not a ton of rounds through it, but never had trouble.
