From what I can gather, this thing is about like a warm-loaded .32 H&R Magnum, or maybe the .30 Luger, and will be available in a Nighthawk President or a couple of S&W pistols, an EZ variant and the Shield Plus. It will hold two more rounds in the EZ compared to 9mm rounds, and two more rounds over the 9mm in the Nighthawk.  I don't know about the Shield Plus.

I am willing to be impressed, but it's got to show me more than a couple of rounds in guns with better choices. As Elmer Keith once said about the new 8mm Remington Magnum "What the hell is it good FOR?"

It's going to be marketed to old timers with arthritis and women, which are a good market niche for the little round, I guess. I think I'm gonna pass on it, personally.

BEEMER!

The recoil and the stiff recoil spring in a SIG 365 are a little much for some shooters so they were talking about one in 380.

This round would be a much better choice if the ballistics they are putting out are true.

I probably would not buy one but it looks like it would fill a niche market that is quite large to me.    JMO

In a world of nearly all 9mm and generic pocket 9's, this is a good way to stand out. It's marketing. I have no doubt it's well engineered but if one is more than comfortable with 9mm/40/10mm, why?

I would love to see a S&W CSX in this cartridge.  I would probably buy one.

Seems like an interesting nitch to me. Bigger than .380 but just a little smaller than 9mm.

Ballistically it seems equivalent to the Corbon 95gr DPX in 9mm. 1300fps out of a short barrel but for a pocket pistol I could see the slightly smaller size making a meaningful difference.

I don't get putting something with less frontal area and energy in a 9mm frame with the main advantage being +2 in the mag.  Most 9mms already have plenty of capacity.  If they'd shortened it soup up 380 framed guns I could get behind it.

I don't get it.  You're not going to compete against something as entrenched as the 9mm with that as your differentiation.

I have pushed 90gr .380 ACP at 1,350 FPS, out of a G42. That being said, the Super 30 can be loaded up to 60,000 PSI, not just 45,000.

I'm really intrigued by the new caliber. I love everything .32, own a couple .327 FM revolvers and reload / shoot all 5 calibers they can take.

In order to get a feel and visual for the new round, I created one myself. Took a .32 S&W Long case, a SPP and a matching bullet out of my stack, shortened the case to spec, remove the rim, and used .32 S&W Long dies to finish the thing.

I'll be getting at least one pistol in this caliber and can't wait to create my very own loads. Haven't been this excited in a long time!

You guys shouldn't see this as a competition with existing calibers, its finally something new, time to have some fun again!
