Drop them is a case size gauge, if they do your wasting your time.

It takes the same amount of time to plunk-test each round as it does to run them through the bulge-buster, so I don't see the savings.

This is why I just use the push through after cleaning. Then into the case feeder hopper.

Well I pass through size every 10mm, 40S&W, 357Sig and 9x25 Dillon before I do the regular size and depriming RCBS die!
The reason is simple, standard dies don't reach the area as above the extractor groove and also down to the case rims.
It has eliminated many reliability failures

It depends.
If I'm shooting through G20 factory barrel, then cases run through Lee Bulge buster after cleaning.
If using any other of my 10's, then it's straight to sizing die after cleaning.
Glock barrel gives case head expansion to .432", other barrels stay at or under .428".

Only way to tell is if you have a cartridge case gauge, if the pass that test then you don't need to pass through size.  However feeding 100 % reliable is why I pas through size.
But I will say, it doesn't hurt to do the pass through sizing to insure they do pass the case gauge.  I have seen some brass expand very low and just at the start of the extractor cut, the standard sizing dies may not size that portion of the case because the shell holder occupies some of the area and then the radius of the inside the start of the sizer die.

Where I have always De-Capped using the HD RCBS Universal Decapping Die first
Cleaned then Polished the Brass, before running them thru the Resizer Die
The resized Brass then goes thru the Case Gauge
If they drop fully and freely, in and out of the Gauge, they go on to Expansion etc
If not, I check for the cause, and that's when the Push-thru Die may come into use
The Brass that comes out of my Witness 10mm Longslide is notorious for needing a little help from the Pass-thru Die
Where-as, the Brass coming from the MechTech MG20, can pass the Case Gauge Test, BEFORE resizing !

I use a cartridge gauge to check the plunk of all finished cartridges and then Bulge Bust if I get a no-go.  For 10mm, it's pretty rare, but for 40S&W it's up to 5% that need push-through sizing.  Does anyone else Bulge Bust loaded cartridges?

I've never heard of running loaded cartridges through a bulge buster...I wouldn't be real happy doing it, personally.

It takes less time to bulge-bust all the unloaded brass than it takes to drop loaded cartridges in a case gauge, so I've never had to find out. I just bulge-bust everything and know I'm good to go without having to check them later.

I have run loaded cartridges through the bulge buster but it is rare!  Take go slow.  Also check to insure that the bullet doesn't get loose after wards...

Thanks guys for all the comments I guess until there's a problem I won't buy a push to die just yet
