The Para Rep on the 1911 forum stated that a double stack will be coming out AFTER the 1911 single stack.

I read that as "We are doing market research with a single stack and if sales are amazing we will do a double stack."

I would love to see the gun be a huge hit, but I don't think the numbers will sell the suits that now own Para on the idea of a double stack.

I did get a reply from PARA, no-go on a visit but the rep did confirm a doublestack 10MM prototype was done 2 years ago, we'll see.

I'd like to see something in a Commander size 1911 in 10mm. Maybe I'm the only one. ::)

No trust me...you're not alone!

I asked about that too, reply was, of course, "no word yet" but I have to admit, communication has definitely improved, I am interested now. Maybe I will find a longslide hunter to test, or maybe I'll just try a lottery ticket, odds are about the same.

Wonder what the holdup is.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

No way this gun sells enough to make the suits happy. They should have made the double stack first but it cost more that is why they went with the single stack. I will be suprised if Kimber continues the 10mm line for long. If You want a Kimber I would get it while they are reasonable. When and if production was to stop they would double in price.

I agree the Para won't go far.

I doubt Kimber will drop 10mm though.  Not a huge seller, but a very steady product.

I don't think the Kimber 10mm platforms will disappear either.  They've been a staple before most others and stuck around.  They're already set up for them and seem to have withstood a fairly long test of time, not much reason for them to just take them off the table.
