Took the 1095 out yesterday to sight in and chronograph some loads out of it. My test was using 180gr xtp's and 9.5 grains of longshot. New starline brass and CCI Large pistol primers.

My sight in was only at 25 yards due to sloppy muddy conditions, but produced a very good group.

With these velocities, especially the 1587 thats over 1000 ft/lbs of muzzle energy.

The hornady box says velocity ranger of 700-1500fps. I've never seen a XTP fail or come apart, but yup, these took a beating through the gel block.
Retained weight of all pieces found was 143.7 grains.

The performance of the 180 gr XTP from a carbine into gelatin is very interesting. Do you have any data on how a 200 gr XTP would perform from a carbine?
